We've known for awhile now that Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are going to headline the SuperBowl halftime show on February 2nd! But what we didn't know was who was going to perform the National Anthem before the game. Last year it was the incredible Gladys Knight. And now we know that this year it will be Demi Lovato. Demi has had her share of personal problems, the most recent being an accidental overdose that nearly cost her her life. Thankfully after being hospitalized and getting treatment, she is back and ready to start singing again. She'll be performing on the Grammys and now she's booked this gig. I think Demi has a beautiful voice and if she just keeps it simple, she'll do a great job. Where singers get in trouble with the Anthem is when they try to do all kinds of vocal gymnastics. Just sing the song. Whitney Houston, Cher and Lady Gaga all proved that the best way is to just sing it. They raised the bar for all who came after them. So I think Demi has the ability to do an amazing job I just hope she allows her voice to shine. What do you think about this choice?
