Social Dilemma-Who Do You Side With When Friends Get Divorced?

Today's social dilemma came from Carly. It's a tough situation. I've been in it before, maybe you have too. It's about friends divorcing. Hi Jaime. My dilemma is really upsetting. I just found out close friends of ours are getting divorced. I’m having a hard time with it, because there really wasn’t any clue that things were that bad between them. You know they had arguments, but what couple doesn’t argue? Anyway, now the wife in the marriage wants me to “side” with her. Trouble is, we were all friends together at the same time.I was never just her friend first or his friend first…we all met around the same time. I want to stay friends with both of them, with the stipulations that I will help them each go through the legal stuff, but won’t talk badly about either one. She’s ticked off at me, but he’s cool with it. She wants me to delete him from all my social media accounts, but I don't want to do that. I love them both. What can I do to keep both of my friendships together. I really hope you and your callers have some good advice for me. Thanks for your help ~ Carly. It's interesting. I say be kind to both of them because they're both going through a horrible time. And if she doesn't realize you're coming from a place of love and caring, you have to step away for a little bit. That's what I think anyway. Maybe she's just too angry to see anything but anger right now. I'm sure you have better advice for Carly. Let's help her out.
