Last night Proctors held it's Big Bash to announce the new musicals and shows that will be coming to Proctors and The Rep for the 2020-2021 season, and boy do we have a LOT to look forward to!! Some of the shows that are coming are big Tony winners, others are big crowd pleasers, and they're all shows that have gotten RAVE reviews!!! First up is the winner of eight Tony Awards, Hadestown. This show is so good when I saw it on Broadway it brought tears to my eyes! You won't want to miss it. There's also Mean Girls! We loved the movie and now we can see the Broadway musical with a book written by Tina Fey, you know it's going to be great!! Disney's Lion King is making a return appearance! The show sold out last time it came to Proctors and I'm sure it will do the same again. It's so good!! If you want to see an amazing play, Aaron Sorkin's new take on To Kill A Mockingbird is also coming. This show has gotten rave reviews also, which is no surprise considering Aaron Sorkin is most well known for writing The West Wing and the movie The Social Network. There will also be revivals of My Fair Lady, Aida and Jersey Boys! This is going to be an incredible season at Proctors and The Rep, especially with the Rep having it's first FULL season in it's new home at 251 North Pearl Street in Albany.
