Let's face it, one of the things about this pandemic that has plagued all of us is not being able to get our hair cut or dyed the way we usually do. I for one, had to have Diane cut my hair in quarantine. And now it definitely needs to be cut again. Well, if all stays on track, tomorrow is the day that hair salons and barbershops in the Capital Region are expected to reopen. In fact, many of them have been booking appointments ahead of time so that they will be ready for Phase 2. There are still some questions for salon owners, like whether or not they need to wear a face mask AND a face shield, but I'm sure all of that will be worked out by tomorrow. Stylists and barbers will also have to be tested for Covid every two weeks to make sure they are healthy. Customers will have their temperature screened at the door. There will be safe social distancing within salons. All good news because we all want to be able to get those haircuts we've been waiting three to four months to get.
Just so you know though, even though salons and barbershops can open, there are still some services you will NOT be able to get. No beard trimming, facials, nail services, threading and waxing. All those are prohibited.
