La Serre Restaurant in Albany is Closing It's Doors For Good After 43 Years

In the wake of the coronavirus, another Capital Region restaurant will be closing it's doors for good. After being in business for 43 years, La Serre, a wonderful French restaurant in downtown Albany since 1977 will not be reopening. According to an article in the Times Union, the owner, Anne Trimble says, and I'm paraphrasing that with so much uncertainty ahead, Covid-19 made the decision for them to close the restaurant. She also says she has no regrets. LaSerre is located on Green Street off lower State Street. Back in the day, it was THE place to go for dinner. If a date took you to LaSerre, you knew he thought you were very special. It was also a great place for all kinds of special events, and just a fancy night out on the town. . LaSerre will be missed.
