Social Dilemma-Should You Hold The Door For A Stranger In the Time of Covid

Today's social dilemma came about after an experience I had at a store the other day. I had to go and pick up a prescription at the pharmacy As I was walking in, I noticed that there was someone coming up behind me. Not super close, but I knew he was going to be walking in the same door I was going into, so I stopped and held the door open. But then he stopped walking. He asked me to let the door go. He said with the coronavirus, we shouldn't be holding doors open for people right now, and that I should know better. I guess he's right but I was holding it in way that I was not really close to him and we both had our masks on. You know me, I've been working with an abundance of caution especially since I'm caring for my mom, but I didn't think that holding the door open was a bad thing. He was upset about it and asked me again to move on which I did. I didn't mean to offend him by any means, I was just doing what I normally do when walking in somewhere and I notice someone is behind me. But maybe he's right. So I thought I would ask you? Should you hold the door for a stranger during the pandemic? Or is this a nicety that has to go away for awhile while we battle this virus? Was I not being cautious enough? I'm really looking for advice here so please let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
