Today's social dilemma came about because as you know, I have my mother staying with us. So of course, she does things differently than we do things. One of the the things we've had a little argument about is the bread and butter. My mom loves toast with butter pretty much at any time of the day. Now we store our bread and butter in the fridge. She on the other hand stores both on the counter. I do not like this. I feel like since butter is a dairy product it should be in the fridge and to keep the bread fresh it should also be in the fridge. She feels that the bread stays nice and soft on the counter and so does the butter which makes it easier to spread. I can't argue with the easier spreading, but now it's more stuff on top of the counter that in our opinion should be in the fridge. I used to store my bread on the counter until I realized I could get about four more days out of it by putting it in the fridge. She doesn't agree, or more likely I think, doesn't care. So where do you store your bread and butter? Maybe you can help me convince my mom that it should all go in the fridge. Let me know what you think on the TRY Facebook page.
