Oh No, Now There's A Paper Towel Shortage!

We all remember the great toilet paper shortage of March and April. Whoever thought we would have went through a time when we were willing to pay top dollar for a roll of Charmin. But now it seems that those shortages are not gone for good. Now there are reports that there are paper towel shortages, and I believe it because for me at least when I shop, it's catch as catch can as to whether or not I can get the paper towels. And even harder to get the brand that I want. Part of the reason is that some people are hoarding them. Apparently there was a massive surge in sales of Bounty Paper Towels in July according to CNN. But the shortage also has to do with the way companies produce paper towels. They produce them based on what they think consumers will need on any given day. But we all know that with the pandemic that has changed. Also apparently, again, according to CNN, paper towel companies can't get all the supplies they need to make paper towels so that makes it even more difficult for them to ramp up production. So I ask you, please don't hoard paper towels. Get what you need for your family, be willing to use a brand you might not have used in the past, and we'll get through this together. We don't need to go into winter having to pay 20 bucks for a roll of paper towels.
