President Trump and His Wife Melania Test Positive For Covid-19

President Trump revealed overnight that he and his wife Melania have tested positive for Covid-19. He tweeted the information. Both the president and his wife were in close proximity to one of their aides, Hope Hicks who tested positive for the virus on Thursday. The president and first lady are in quarantine. According to a memo from the president’s physician, the president and the first lady “are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescense. The White House medical team and I will maintain a vigilant watch, and I appreciate the support provided by some of our country’s greatest medical professionals and institutions,” wrote Sean Conley, physician to the president. “Rest assured I expect the President to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering, and I will keep you updated on any future developments.” We wish them and all people who are infected a speedy recovery.
