I don't know about you, but I'm pretty upset about this. For the first time since 1966, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown will not be aired on broadcast TV...no ABC or CBS, nothing! Apple TV made the announcement this week that they will now be the exclusive home for the classic cartoon about Linus waiting for the Great Pumpkin while his buddies go trick or treating (All I got was a rock). Apple has also gained exclusive rights to a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Apple did say that they will make the special available for free for part of each season so that everyone will be able to see them. That's nice of Apple, but I'll still miss seeing it on my regular channels. It's been a holiday tradition forever, and I know that a lot of traditions are changing this year, but I thought this would be one we could hold onto. I guess not. So make sure you check your Apple app on your Roku or firestick or smart TV to watch the Charlie Brown specials this year. I feel like I got a rock this year too.
