Remember a week and a half ago when Regal Theaters said they were closing all their locations across the country. Yeah, that's not happening. Governor Cuomo announced last week that movie theaters in NYS could reopen this Friday. And Regal Crossgates and Regal Colonie Center will be among the theaters reopening their doors for the first time since March. They along with the Scotia Cinema, Bowtie Cinemas and the Madison Theater will all reopen on Friday with new safety protocols in place. All customers will be required to wear masks at all time unless they are eating or drinking Eating and drinking must be done while sitting down in their seats. Also the air filtration systems must be upgraded to prevent the spread of Covid. Theaters will only open at 25% capacity.
Right now we know that the Scotia Cinema will be playing the Robert DeNiro movie, The War With Grandpa
The other theaters have not yet announced what films they will be showing. When we know, we'll let you know.
