Dolly Parton Moves Stephen Colbert To Tears While Singing

Dolly Parton’s voice can apparently bring grown men to tears. In case you missed it, during an appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Dolly’s singing made the host weep. During her interview Dolly sang the bluegrass standard “Bury Me Beneath the Willow,” and Colbert was so overcome by emotions he had to wipe away tears.  “So I better hush before you cry yourself to death and you can’t finish the show,” Dolly said at the end of the song. That made Stephen laugh and joke, “Like a lot of Americans, I’m under a lot of stress right now Dolly.” It was actually quite a sweet moment. And if nothing else, this proves that Dolly has the voice of an angel, and that when you hear the right song, it can hit you in a way that moves you without even trying. Check out the clip below.
