Sadly, yesterday, Alex Trebek passed away after his long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was at home with his wife and family by his side. Even though we all know Alex had been ill, it was still shocking news. Alex seemed to be doing well, but we found out that he was hiding his pain very well. Yesterday, his producer on Jeopardy made an appearance on CNN to talk about Alex's last show taping and he gave us some insight into Alex's battle. He also said that Alex gave a beautiful speech on one of his last shows that will give us all chills and be all the more meaningful now. Hosting "Jeopardy!" since 1984, Alex won seven Daytime Emmys from 34 nominations, and also a Peabody Award.He also holds the Guinness World Record for Most Game Show Episodes Hosted. And almost as if the fates planned it, Alex's final Jeopardy appearance will be on Christmas Day. I know where my family will be when Jeopardy airs that night.
