So, if you had pick the 2020 word of the year, what would your choice be? Merriam-Webster picked theirs today and it was no surprise. Their 2020 word of the year is PANDEMIC. Considering it's a word that was rarely used prior to March of 2020, and now it's a word we all use on a regular basis, it's really no shock that this turned up as the word of 2020. But there were other options. Coronavirus was near the top of the list, along with quarantine, asymptomatic, defund, icon and malarkey (a word our President-elect likes to use).
