We have such a beautiful girl from the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society as our Pet of the Week., This beautiful girl, Yzma (pronounced like Zima), has been looking for a home for far too long. She has been at the shelter for over 150 days, and we think it's high time for her to find her forever home. Yzma recently had kittens, and was a doting mama, but that's not a worry ever again. She has become quite nervous around humans, but we truly believe that with time, patience, and consistency, she will begin to trust again. She has lived in a home with cats before, and it was not harmonious, so we think she would prefer to be your only. She is absolutely going to hide at first, so she is looking for a home that will go at her own pace. Because of her distrust of humans, we think an adult-only or a home with older children who will respect her space.
