I have to admit, I wasn't aware of this, but apparently, Dr. Oz has been known to make sketchy medical claims over the years. There's even a Wikipedia page dedicated to his shady "doctorin'". So when he was announced as an upcoming guest host on "Jeopardy!", it rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Here are some of their social media comments:
"'Jeopardy!' celebrates knowledge and facts and Dr. Oz has largely broken from that in his medical advice."
"Not super interested in Dr. Oz hosting a show about correct information."
"I honestly can't think of a bigger insult to the memory of Alex Trebek than letting Dr. Oz host 'Jeopardy!'.It's like letting Rudy Giuliani onto 'Law and Order'."
"Dr. Oz is going to learn so much from the "Actual Medical Facts" category."
And the list went on and on. So what do you think? Should Dr. Oz still be on the guest host list, or should they take him out because of all the push back? Personally I say let him do his thing. He's not answering the questions or writing them for that matter, he's just going to be acting as a host. Plus it's only for one week. That's just my take though. What do you think?
