More Details Have Come Out About Bruce Springsteen's DWI Arrest

We all know by now that Bruce Springsteen was arrested back in November for DWI, and now some new details about his arrest have come to light. A source tells the “New York Post,” Bruce was driving his motorcycle at Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, not far from his home, when he “was spotted by fans who asked him to pull over and take some pictures.” After posing for the pictures, the fan offered The Boss a shot, reportedly of tequila, and took it, “while sitting on his bike, which was stationary.” The insider notes, “Park Police saw what happened and they immediately pulled Springsteen over as he drove away.” Meanwhile, another NY Post report claims Bruce was arrested because he refused to take a breathalyzer test, "despite signs of intoxication.” A source notes, "The cop got pissed off, took Bruce in, and made him do bloodwork.” Bruce did allegedly admit to the park ranger, R.L. Hayes, that he had had two shots of tequila, even though drinking in the park is illegal. According to the officer's affidavit, "The Patron bottle that the shot was poured out of was completely empty (750ml),” noting, Bruce "smelt strongly of alcohol coming off his person and had glassy eyes."  As we told you, the Asbury Park Press reported that at the time of his arrest, Bruce's blood-alcohol level was 0.02, which is actually below the 0.08 legal threshold for driving while intoxicated in New Jersey.  Bruce was cited for DWI, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area. He is expected in court in the coming weeks. Bottom line, you should NEVER drink and drive. We'll have to wait and see how it all goes down in the court.
