When DR. OZ was first announced as a guest host of Jeopardy, he wasn't a popular choice, and now it sounds like he wasn't too popular with the contestants either. One of them by the name of Emily Seaman says he actually made fun of them. She says that after she failed to answer a question, she, quote, "heard him making fun of it to one of the producers. Like, 'I can't believe they didn't get this one. 'I was, like, 'Cool, bro . . . let's see you do this.'" She added, quote, "It was just odd. I don't think he likes 'Jeopardy!'" Seaman wasn't happy when she heard Dr. Oz was going to host while she was on, but obviously, it wasn't enough to make her give up her dream.
I have to admit, I'm not surprised by this. I thought that Dr. Oz was tough on the contestants when I watched him. He didn't seem to be supportive of them like Alex always was, and how the other guest hosts were. He almost seemed to knock them down a bit when they got an answer wrong. I'm not a big fan of Dr. Oz's but I thought he'd be a good host. I was wrong. I didn't like his style at all. So far, I'm still a fan of Ken Jennings the most. I thought he did the best job. But we'll see how it goes with the other guest hosts. I think Aaron Rodgers, while being a great guy, has been a little dry. Next week, it's Anderson Cooper's turn for a couple of weeks, then Bill Whitaker from 60 Minutes, Mayim Bialek from the Big Bang Theory, Savannah Guthrie and Dr. Sanjay Gupta. I'm looking forward to seeing how they do.
