The Capital Region really has become Hollywood on the Hudson! We know that several HBO projects are in the process of filming in Troy. There is an Amazon show that was filmed in Albany's Washington Park, and now comes word that Owen Wilson is filming his next movie in Saratoga Springs. Over the next month or so, Owen will be filming the movie "Paint" in the area. The movie also stars former SNL star Micheala Watkins, Wendy McLendon-Covey of The Goldbergs and Stephen Root. The movie apparently is a comedy about an artist (loosely based on Bob Ross) who paints on a Vermont TV show. The painter, whose name in the film is Carl Nargle, ends up getting fired when the station hires a younger painter to take over the job. No word on exactly where they'll be shooting, but if you see Owen or Wendy around town, make sure you welcome them!
