John Mayer Is In Talks For His Own Talk Show on Paramount Plus

I don't know if being a singer/songwriter/musician qualifies you to host a talk show, but I guess we'll find out. John Mayer is currently negotiating with Paramount Plus to host his own show called Later with John Mayer. The show will air once a week and will have interviews and performances, mainly from other musicians and artists. John has been known to fill in for other talk show hosts in the past, mainly James Corden's Late Late Show. And on his Instagram page, he does an offbeat show called Current Mood. But do those few things qualify him to be a talk show host? I'm not so sure, but I guess we're going to find out soon enough. Of course John is mainly known as a very successful singer/songwriter. He's won seven Grammy Awards and for the last five years of so, he's been touring with Dead and Company. Would you watch this talk show? I guess I'd give it a shot, but would have low expectations.
