This Is Us Is Coming to An End Next Season!

You know, we were talking about Ellen ending her talk show after this season, but for me, this news is much more devastating. "This Is Us" is coming to an end after its sixth season, which will likely premiere this fall. That means one year from now, we'll be saying goodbye to the Pearson clan. I don't know if I'll be ready for that. I love the Big Three and their parents and their extended families. It's one of the few shows that is truly appointment TV for me, so saying goodbye will be tough. But this is not a cancellation in any form. The creator of the show said he always intended the show to end after six seasons. He had a beginning, middle and end laid out for the characters and that will be that. NBC was trying to convince him to go longer with the series, but he has said no. So we'll be saying goodbye to the gang next year at this time. NBC will make the formal announcement later today.
