Social Dilemma-How Late is Too Late to Start Mowing Your Lawn?

Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Maggie and it's about the timing of mowing your lawn. Here's her email: Hi Jaime. I have a dilemma and I hope you'll use it. I have a neighbor who is constantly mowing his lawn after 8pm. I understand that it stays light out longer and all that, but I go to bed fairly early as my job starts at 5:30am. So I'm usually just getting into bed around 8-8:30. Even with my windows closed and the AC on, I can still hear that darn mower at night. And it's not only on the weekends, which would be more tolerable...it's during the week too. I just think that people should understand that everyone has different bedtimes and after 8pm, things should quiet down unless it's a Friday or Saturday night. Am I being unreasonable? I have tried to drop hints, I have told him when I go to bed, but still at least once or twice a week, that mower is going after 8pm, and not just for a few minutes. He has a big yard. So what should I do? Just deal with it? Or should I be more blatant in asking him to please stop. I hope you can help. Thanks so much Jaime ~ Maggie. Well, this is hard. As someone who goes to bed early, there are some things you do just have to kind of deal with because the world doesn't stop just because it's your bed time. That being said, 8pm on a work night seems late to be mowing the lawn, or using any kind of power tool outside. I would say something head on. What do you think?
