If you are a fan of scary movies and TV shows, this really is the weekend for you. First up, there's The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, which is out in theaters and HBO Max as of today. It's another sequel to the very popular movies about Ed and Lorraine Warren (two real people who dealt with demons for lack of a better way of saying it). It stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga again as the couple and this one centers on the first murder trial where demonic possession was used as a legal defense and YES it's based on an actual trial. SCARY! Watch the trailer here
And then starting today on Apple TV +, it's Lisey's Story, which is a horror miniseries starring Julianne Moore as the widow of an author, and she becomes the target of a stalker who is obsesses with her husbands stories. It's based on a Stephen King novel so you know it's going to be scary. Check out the trailer for that here.
So will you be getting scared this weekend? The Conjuring is out for me. I don't do devil stuff, but I think I'll check out Lisey's story. We'll see how far I get into it. I find I get more and more scared the older I get. What will you be watching?
