We have such a great sweet shy girl from the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society as our Pet of the Week. Meet Betsy!! Betsy is a 3-year-old pittie mix looking for a new start. She’s had a couple of different homes, but they weren’t the best fit for her. She’s nervous at first, but when she gets comfortable she is friendly, silly and playful. She needs an experienced owner to help build her confidence. She knows down, sit and drop it, but more obedience classes would be a fun bonding and learning experience for her and her new family – and we offer classes. Because of her timid nature, she would do best in a quiet, adult-only home. She’ll also need to be an only pet, as she’s not a fan of other dogs. She’s been with us since the end of December (more than 100 days, but that’s just a designation we’re using for some of our long-timers.) We know her perfect family is out there and she’ll be a wonderful, loving companion for them once they find each other.
