There were fireworks all over New York State last night to celebrate New York reaching that 70% vaccinated Covid benchmark. Did you see the ones at the Empire State Plaza? They were beautiful and rivaled the ones we see on the Fourth of July! Obviously we haven't been able to have fireworks celebrations for the past 15-16 months due to the coronavirus so it was so nice to hear and see them again! Check out the photos below from all over the State. With the fireworks comes the lifting of Covid restrictions. Yesterday the Governor said, “Effective immediately, commercial, social, construction — all across the board, businesses are open. Capacity restrictions, cleaning and sanitizing protocols are gone. It’s up to individuals and places. The CDC and federal guidelines are there for public transit and younger school grades.” So there you have it. As we slowly get back to life as normal, whatever that even means in a post-Covid world, we celebrate, we honor the First Responders and the Essential workers who were there for us all through the past fifteen months and we move forward!
