Well, this is pretty cool! We have a great State Park right outside of Troy that is celebrating it's 50th anniversary today!! Grafton Lakes State Park is celebrating all day long with all kinds of special events. Admission today is only 25 cents, just like it was when the Park first opened in 1971. I love that!! The Art Gallery looks beautiful and will be open all day. There will be a Scavenger Hunt that goes from 9am to 4pm, There's a Flashback Virtual Tour in the Welcome Center at 1pm and so much more. There is even a lunch celebration. A lunch ticket will cost you just five bucks. The Park is open from 8am to 10pm tonight. Grafton Lakes State Park will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on July 1 with special events. Admission to the park for the day will be 25 cents, the original entry fee when the park opened in 1971.
There is a lunch celebration. Attendance is free, although a lunch ticket will cost $5.
The park will be open at 8 a.m. with events starting one hour later. Normally, the park closes at 5:00 pm, but it will stay open for special events which will end around 10:00 pm.
Admission to the park is first-come, first-serve.
