Well this is just too bad. Starting this week, the Great Escape Amusement Park and outdoor Water Park will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You can read the statement below that Great Escape posted to their Facebook page. Basically is says that this will allow them t o provide a better experience for everyone on the other five days of the week. But we also know that the Great Escape has had a hard time hiring people to work there, as have a lot of businesses. Still, they say that that has nothing to do with why they're closing for those two days every week. Of course, this impacts the businesses around the Great Escape as well, especially Martha's Ice Cream. Lots of us, myself included, always stop at Marthas on the way out of Great Escape to enjoy a cone. If you have already bought a one day ticket for a Tuesday or a Wednesday, those tickets can be used any other weekday through the end of the summer.
