Facebook is rolling out a new prayer feature that will allow you to specifically ask for prayers from friends and family. A lot of spiritual leaders are praising the new tool saying it's a great way to bring the faithful together online, while others are saying praying online is not the same as praying together in person. Another person pointed out that when we are at our weakest, we might give up some personal information that we are asking for prayers about, that you might not normally want the world to know about. I think that's a fair point. I like the idea of a prayer feature, being that I am a believer in the power of prayer. However, I would hate to see someone post something incredibly personal that has happened to them while they are asking for prayers. We all have to keep in mind that whatever we post at anytime is out there forever. You can delete it or think that it's gone, but it never really is.
