With the cases of Covid due to the Delta Variant rising in the Capital Region, several venues around the area are now requiring everyone wear a mask to all performances. This group of venues made a statement on Monday basically saying they're glad they're back, and they want to keep the doors open and shows going, while keeping everyone safe. Here's the list of venues that will now require masks
- Proctors
- The Palace Theatre
- Troy Savings Bank Music Hall
- Cohoes Music Hall
- Capital Repertory Theatre
- The Egg
- Universal Preservation Hall
- Caffè Lena
- Hudson Hall
- Also included are indoor spaces at SPAC and performances by the Albany Symphony Orchestra.
Also, I know the Times Union Center is requiring masks for everyone attending the Albany Empire championship game this Saturday night, so I think more and more places will go with this policy Basically they said they are just following CDC guidelines because Covid cases are going up here in the Capital Region. So if you plan on going out to a show anywhere, it's best to check with the venue on their mask and possible vaccination policy before you go!
