Mike Richards has found himself in hot water again. As we told you, the newly appointed host of “Jeopardy” had to answer for allegations made against him in a discrimination lawsuit that surfaced from 10 years ago. Now comments he made on a podcast seem to reinforce those allegations. Mike hosted “The Randumb Show” from 2013 to 2014. It was billed as a behind-the-scenes look at “The Price is Right.” He allegedly mocked women’s weight, called one model a “booth slut,” and repeatedly praised “the average white-guy host.” Richards issued a statement regarding the podcast comments where he apologized for what was supposed to be funny. “Even with the passage of time, it’s more than clear that my attempts to be funny and provocative were not acceptable, and I have removed the episodes,” he said. “My responsibilities today as a father, husband, and a public personality who speaks to many people through my role on television means I have substantial and serious obligations as a role model, and I intend to live up to them.”
Meanwhile, a new poll proved what most of us already knew – fans wanted LeVar Burton to host “Jeopardy.” The former “Reading Rainbow” host got 14 percent of the votes while Mike only picked up three percent.
