You’ll have to wait a little longer for Tom Cruise’s next two movies. “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Mission: Impossible 7” have been delayed –again –due to the recent surge in COVID cases. “Maverick” was originally supposed to premiere last Summer, but was delayed until the Winter… and then again to last month, and most recently to November 2021. But now, it’ll open on May 27th, 2022. Just a few months later on September 30th, 2022, “Mission: Impossible 7” will hit theaters. As we previously reported, Paramount isn’t happy about all the production delays, and they’re suing their insurance company for refusing to cover the costs.
I don't know about you, but this seems excessive. Yes, there is a Covid surge, but movie theaters are open. And if you're vaxxed and wear a mask, going to the movies is pretty safe I've been several times since they've reopened. I understand safety, but I don't understand why they won't release on video on demand. The movie is will be outdated if they keep pushing it back. Would you go see if in the theater if they released it today? Let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
