Willie Garson of Sex & the City and White Collar Has Passed Away

Willie Garson has died. The 57-year-old reportedly had cancer, but it wasn’t clear that it caused his death. His son, Nathen Garson, confirmed the news. “I love you so much, papa,” Nathen said next to a series of photos of his late father. “I’m so glad you got to share all your adventures with me and were able to accomplish so much.” While Willie has 170 acting credits to his name, he was best known for playing Stanford Blatch – a gay socialite who was Carrie Bradshaw’s bestie on “Sex and The City.” He appeared in 27 episodes of the show and both movies. In addition, he shot some scenes for “And Just Like That…” the “SATC” revival series for HBO Max. Willie also costarred on White Collar with Matt Bomer. There are many tributes pouring in in honor of Willie from his Sex and the City costars to Matt Bomer and so many more. If you would like to read those tributes, just click here. He was a great actor, and by all accounts, an incredibly kind man. 57 is too young for anyone to go. Rest in Peace Willie.
