I think it's fair to say that most of us here in the Capital Region are big fans of Rachael Ray! Afterall, she's one of us. She's from the Glens Falls/Queensbury area. She has her main home in Lake Luzerne and we want only good things for her. Sadly though when it comes to her homes, she's having a run of bad luck. We all remember last August when Rachael's Lake Luzerne home caught on fire. Thankfully she and her family got out safe, but there was a lot of damage. The home was able to be repaired but it took a lot of work and money. And now Rachael has been hit again. Her apartment in NYC was flooded with the remnants of Hurricane Ida earlier this month. Rachael told People Magazine: "We had finally just finished the work on making the [NYC] apartment over. And then, Ida took it out. And I mean, out. Down hard, Like, literally every speaker in the ceiling, the fireplace, every seam in the wall … It was like the apartment just literally melted, like in 'Wicked' or something." We wish Rachael and her family nothing but the best. I have no doubt she'll talk about this on her show, which you can watch weekday afternoons at 2 on Channel 13.
