We have such sweet boy from the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society as our Pet of the Week. Meet ChimRye, one of the silliest boys around. ChimRye came to us all the way from Korea, and he is looking for a brand new life. At five years old and almost 100 pounds, Chim is a big boy, and he is just about blind. He lost one eye prior to coming to us, and can really only see shadows with the other eye. But something as silly as lack of vision doesn’t slow him down! He likes to be outside sniffing the world, and hanging with his best buds, human and canine. Having a rough start to life, Chim can be a bit shy at first, but once he knows you’re okay, the goofy side of him comes out and doesn’t go away. Because of his size and inability to see, we think he would do best in a home with older kids that won’t fall as easily when he accidentally bumps into them. ChimRye is one of the lucky dogs that has a foster-to-adopt period, which is a supported trial period at home making sure ChimRye is in fact the best match for your family.
