I think this is pretty cool, literally!!! We all love going to Lake George in the summer, but now we might want to head to Lake George in the WINTER!! Lake George will be building Ice Castles! Ice Castles is a company that builds huge castles out of ice (obviously) with slides, thrones, tunnels, caves and more! There are five Ice Castles in the country now, and Lake George will be the sixth and the first in NYS. The new attraction will combine with the Lake George Winter Carnival and Winterfest. The owner of Ice Castles had this to say, "We do strive to bring magic to all of our guests. That's kind of our stated goal. You enter, you kind of leave the world outside of those walls a little bit and kind of enter a magical space where creativity and imagination can flourish." I love it!! It sounds like it would be Elsa and Anna of Frozen proud. I'll definitely check it out this winter! Oh and as far as the weather goes, they said the castle can handle rain and some warm days, but overall they do need the cold weather of winter for it to really work. They'll start building it within a couple of weeks and plan on having it open to the public on January 1st! I can't wait! Will you check it out?
