Ed Sheeran and Elton John are ready to help folks get into the holiday spirit. During an interview on the Dutch morning radio show “Jan-Willem Start Op,” Ed revealed that he and Elton plan to release a holiday song in December, describing the tune as “bleeping great.” Ed says Elton brought up the idea last Christmas Day during a phone call saying that since his old song “Step Into Christmas” was still a holiday hit he wanted to do another one and asked Ed to join him. Although Ed says he’s “never really wanted to do a Christmas song,” that changed after a close friend passed away. "It really just hit home how stuff can just change overnight," Ed said. "I was like, 'Why am I not doing a Christmas song with Elton John? I might not be here tomorrow, this will be a great way to celebrate Christmas.'" Elton currently has the number one song in the country, a duet he recorded with Dua Lipa (you can hear it below), and of course, his hit, Step Into Christmas is still played every year. So I'm really looking forward to hearing this new song from Elton and Ed! You know you'll hear it on 98.3 TRY, your Christmas music station!
