I think a lot of us have been waiting a long time for this! Finally, there’s a big screen adaptation of the Tony-winning musical “Wicked” in the works, and so far it has a star-studded cast. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have been tapped for the lead roles in the movie, with Grande cast as Glinda the Good Witch and Erivo as Elphaba, the "Wicked" witch, who really isn't all that wicked after all. “Dear Cynthia, honored doesn’t even begin to cover it,” Grande wrote on Instagram. “I cannot wait to hug you. See you in Oz.” The “Wicked” movie is being directed by Jon M. Chu, who also helmed Lin-Manuel Miranda’s big-screen musical adaptation “In The Heights.” As someone who has seen the musical Wicked about eight times, I can't wait to see how these two incredible performers do in the roles made famous by Kristin Chenowith and Idina Menzel. I'm all in. What about you?
