We’re down to the wire on “Dancing With The Stars.” With only three weeks left in Season 30, last night the remaining six couples danced their way for a spot in the semifinals… and a chance at the Mirrorball trophy. We saw a round of couples dances, and then a few dance-offs – all of them paying tribute to Janet Jackson. By the end of the night, four dancers were booted from Rhythm Nation. Here’s what happened:
- Jimmie and pro Emma did the Cha-Cha to “Escapade.” Judges gave the duo a 32.
- Suni andSasha did the Samba to “All For You” – Judges gave them a perfect score of 40.
- Melora and Artem delivered a theatrical Paso Doble to “If.” Melora was serving confidence and choreo –and some interesting facial expressions –and totally impressed the judges. They earned a perfect score of 40, too.
- Olivia and Val did an Argentine Tango to “Any Time, Any Place.” The judges gave them a 36.
- Codyand Cheryl were next with a Paso Doble to “Black Cat.” The judges gave them another perfect score of 40.
- Iman and Daniella did the Cha-Cha to “Rhythm Nation,” and the judges gave them a 35.
- JoJo and Jenna wrapped up the main round of dances with a Salsa to “Feedback.” The judges gave them just short of a perfect score, a 39.
Olivia, Jimmie and Melora wound up in jeopardy… and we ended up saying goodbye to Olivia and Val, since they had the lowest combo of scores and votes. And after the judges saved Melora and Artem, Jimmie and Emma were also sent home.
That means this season’s semifinalists are:
- Suni and Sasha
- JJ and Jenna
- Amanda and Alan
- Cody and Cheryl
- Iman and Daniella
- Melora and Artem
