There were two AMAZING music specials to watch over the holiday weekend, and I can't say enough about either of them! First up was the long awaited Beatles documentary, Get Back, put together by Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson. It was INCREDIBLE!!!! It's three parts...it's long, but I was mesmerized by every single minute. Watching John and Paul work together was beautiful. Seeing the band come together. Watching Paul write some classics like Long and Winding Road, and seeing the band write Get Back. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's on Hulu and it's worth every single minute of your time.
The second music special was last night's Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett special, One Last Time. Knowing that Tony was suffering from Alzheimer's made the show ever more bittersweet, but it was clear that he was in it, and he was enjoying the music and Gaga. This man's talent surpasses any illness that tries to take him down. And their voices sound so beautiful together. So much so that they're album has been nominated for six Grammy Awards. You'll be able to watch this OnDemand on Spectrum or on the Paramount Plus app. So so good.
Did you watch either of these specials? What did you think?
