Meet Geo, Our Sweet, Handsome Pet of the Week From the MHHS!

We have such sweet pup from the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society as our Pet of the Week. I fell in love with him!!! In fact, he's so smart, that Geo, our sweet three year old boy, wrote his own bio to tell you about himself. This is what he wrote Hiya, Geo here. I'm not quite sure why I'm still here at the shelter- my friends say I'm the bestest boy. I came here as a stray and my friends don't think I had a lot of opportunity to "be a dog" before I landed here. Shelter life was very stressful for me (I mean, I love MY people and want to hang with them as much as I can). Fortunately, I found a nice quiet foster home while I wait for my forever people. My foster mom has learned a lot about me in the weeks I've been here. I'm housebroken and don't make a mess of my room. I like to pass the time snoozing on my favorite chair or licking some peanut butter out of my Kong. I walk pretty good on leash too, although I'm still learning about the sounds, sights and smells that are in the big ol' world out there. One day I got to zoom around in the snow! I'm super food motivated and already know a lot of commands. Not to sound like a smarty pants but I can "sit," "down," "look," and "touch." If you wanted, you could probably teach me a lot more. I may be a little cautious when we first meet, but can get quite silly with my toys once I'm comfortable. You know you're "Geo approved" when I climb into your lap or wiggle under your legs. I'm not quite sure how I feel about other animals right now and kids can be a little scary, but I'm working on it. I'm going to be a nice companion for someone who is willing to invest the time to get to know me.
