Well, this is pretty exciting!! Hollywood is returning once again to the City of Troy. You might remember that HBO brought their production of The Guilded Age to film in Troy and the city doubled as NYC in the late 1800s. Well, now Troy will be doubling as NYC in the 1950's for a Hallmark Movie that will be filmed on Thursday and Friday. The main place they'll be filming is DeFazio's Italian Store in South Troy. Apparently the movie is about the Rockettes and they needed an Italian Market to film in, that looked like it was in 1950's NYC and DeFazio's fit the bill. Pretty cool stuff. 100 cast and crew members will be making their way to town today to start filming tomorrow. Keep coming Hollywood, we're happy to have you here. Oh and if you love DeFazio's food like I do, even though the market will be closed, the Pizzeria next door will still be open.
