We have a beautiful girl from the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society as our Pet of the Week. Meet Riley, a 3 year old pit mix. She came to us from a not-great previous life, and is looking for an understanding home. She can be very timid and nervous when she doesn’t know you, and may take a few meets to warm up. Once she does warm up though, she’s a total goofball (see couch spying photo). She knows the basics, but going to a new home, doing obedience would create a trust and bond that would definitely benefit Riley. Riley is looking for a home that will go at a pace that takes Riley’s comfort into account, preferably where she is the sole pet or child. Riley isn’t a huge fan of other animals, and children move a bit too quickly and unpredictably for a nervous lady like Riley.
