Team USA’s Erin Jackson is officially in the history books – and not just because she won Gold in the 500-meter speedskating event. Not only did she give the U.S. its first speedskating medal of the Beijing Games, she’s the first American to win the event since Bonnie Blair did it 1994…and she’s the first African American woman to ever win an individual medal in speed skating at the Olympics.
