Today's Pick Me Up Story will give you faith....faith that kids as young as first graders want to help and will do the right thing. Check this out. Miss Hodges, a first grade teacher at Cedar Hill Elementary was sitting at a table teaching her students when suddenly her vision got blurry, she started shaking in her chair and ultimately lost consciousness. The children immediately knew that had to do something so some ran to a fellow teacher's class while others went to get the school nurse. The grownups immediately called 911, and Miss Hodges was taken to the hospital where she found out she had experienced a seizure caused by Covid complications. She didn't even know she had Covid. Ultimately though the most important part of the story....Miss Hodges now has a classroom of heroes and made sure they were honored by local first responders for their bravery in the face of the emergency! The class is now known as Hodge's Heroes! Those are some amazing kids!!
