This young woman shows there is hope for the future. 16 year old Mariana Riccio has dedicated her life to helping others. She believes in volunteering and says it brings her much happiness. Last year, she collected close to 100 coats for the Schenectady City Mission. This year, Mariana is helping a seven year old boy named Anthony who is suffering from leukemia. Even though she had her own medical issues, she still continued raising money for Anthony. See Mariana's story below. It was featured on Channel 13 last night. This young woman picks us all up!
