You know we always hear about big music festivals on the West Coast, but could we be getting one right in our own backyard? According to the Times Union, apparently an organizer is applying for permits to hold a music festival on a piece of land in Ghent in Columbia County. As of right now, the name of the festival would be the Hudson Meadows Music & Art Fair, and it would be either one or two days long. The music would be country, bluegrass, folk, blues and some current artists. They are estimating that 10,000-15,000 people would show up for the event. I think this would be great for the area. Food and craft vendors would also be on site and there will even be a campground area so people can sleep over if they so choose. I'm all in for it. Would you attend if this festival came about. I would! I love music, I love to support our area, and it sounds like fun without being too crazy. I'm in. Let me know what you think on the TRY Facebook page.
