In the 32 hours that have passed since Will Smith jumped up on stage to slap Chris Rock, after Chris made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith, several things have happened. First up, The Academy has launched an investigation into the event and they're trying to figure out what to do. That could include anything from suspending Will from the Academy to taking away his newly won Oscar, though no one thinks that will happen. The other big thing that's happened is that Will Smith opening apologized to Chris Rock in an Instagram post which you can see below. In the post, Will admits that violence in all of its' forms is poisonous and destructive. He goes on to apologize but states that the joke about Jada's hair and her medical condition of alopecia was too much for him to take. At this point, Chris Rock has not responded. The Academy Board of Directors will meet on Wednesday to decide how to handle the situation. What do you think should happen? And if you were Chris Rock, would you accept Will's apology? Let me know what you think on the TRY Facebook page.
