Yesterday Proctors announced their 2022-2023 Key Bank Broadway Series and it's going to be a great one!! Subscriptions go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday) at proctors.org. Single tickets will go on sale after that. I will definitely be in to see all these great shows! Check them out below!
- "Disney's Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular!!" October 11 - 23 Of course the show is based on the animated movie with all the great music we know and love and even more I can't wait to see it!!!
- "Hairspray," Dec. 6 to 11: The 2002 musical is based on the 1988 John Waters film of the same name, and has become a staple in regional and high school productions.
- "Hamilton," March 14 to 19, 2023: Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the book, music and lyrics for the 2015 musical about Alexander Hamilton and others of America's founding fathers. With its blend of rap, rock and show tunes, "Hamilton" became a sensation and is the most popular Broadway musical in a generation.
- "Toostie," April 11 to 16, 2023: The 1982 film starring Dustin Hoffman and Jessica Lange, about a struggling actor who finally becomes a star after he pretends to be a woman, was made into a musical in 2018.
- "Jagged Little Pill," May 2 to 7, 2023: The musical builds a story inspired by and incorporating songs on the 1995 multimillion-selling album by Alanis Morissette. The show opened in late 2019 and closed during the pandemic, winning two Tony Awards.
- "Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of the Temptations," May 23 to 28, 2023: The jukebox musical based on the career of the Motown group had more than a month of technical rehearsals at Proctors in fall 2021 to launch its tour but will not offer public performances at the theater until next season. Nominated for 12 Tonys, it won the 2019 Tony for best choreography.
