Pick Me Up: Couple Finds Out They Won a Million Bucks Through Facebook!!

I love these Pick Me Ups where folks are winning money without even knowing about it. It's so fun. So check this out. Last week, Paul, a commercial construction worker bought a Mega Millions lotto ticket while gassing up his work truck. Paul and his wife, Teresa, didn’t watch the drawing that night and the next morning he left for work while she stayed home. That morning, Teresa saw a notification on her phone from the Maryland Lottery Facebook page that someone had purchased a $1-million winning ticket at the store where Paul bought their ticket. She immediately contacted her husband with the news. He told her that the ticket was at the house, so she found them and read the numbers off over the phone. They were both in shock over their win. The couple, who have two adult children and six grandchildren, couldn’t keep the good news to themselves, so they told their family and friends. They plan to use some of the money to make a few improvements on their farmhouse and to get Teresa a new car, while most of it they’ll save for when Paul retires in a couple of years.
