Today's Pick Me Up is just amazing. We all loved Mr. Rogers, but now there's even more reasons to love him. Check out this story. When Beth U. was in kindergarten she started having seizures. Doctors couldn't figure out why she had it so they sent her home. And then she started having more and more and more seizures. Ultimately she was diagnozed with Rasmussen's Encephalitis. Interestingly though, she would never have a seizure when she was watching Mr. Rogers. So Beth's mom called Mr. Rogers studio asking for an autographed photo for her daughter. But instead of a picture, Mr. Rogers called Beth and spoke with her for over an hour. When Beth ultimately had her surgery, which seemed to go well, but then she fell into a coma. Mr. Rogers would call the hospital every day to see how Beth was doing. When he kept hearing she wasn't improving, Mr. Rogers went to the hospital to give Beth a private puppet show. Not long after, Beth woke up. When Mr. Rogers heard the news, he said "Praise God" But that wasn't the end of it. Mr. Rogers would call Beth EVERY SINGLE YEAR on her birthday right up until he passed away in 2003. That's an amazing man!
